Tudor Oaks Farm foals all receive a basic imprinting at birth and then are handled every day. They begin halter training at one week and are led to the pasture with their mothers on a daily basis. They are taught to accept human contact, to lift feet, to enjoy grooming and to tolerate basic veterinary care such vaccinations, deworming and taking temperatures. Each foal is carefully and lovingly introduced to the blacksmith, the wash rack, the clippers and the horse trailer in a non-threatening way. Their experiences as foals produce confidence and trust in every new situation as they grow older.
When you buy a Haflinger from Tudor Oaks Farm you know that it has had the very best care and handling possible. We use passive, resistance-free methods to produce exceptional family and show horses. Each new owner receives instruction, upon request, on every aspect of care and handling at no charge; and is guaranteed access to continuing education for as long as they own the horse.
Each new owner is provided with a complete health history and handling history of his or her foal or horse.
Herd health at Tudor Oaks Farm is paramount, and they immunize regularly against flu, rhino, strangles, tetanus, E & W encephalitis, and West Nile . Deworming is done every eight weeks, with a rotation of products. Pastures are well-maintained and parasite infestation is kept to a minimum. Your new horse will arrive in perfect health.
